Software Tools

Our MATLAB® based tools, together with the built-in intelligence of the AMB system, support a variety of functions such as on-line balancing of your rotor, auto­mated testing after assembly as well as data acquisition and system monitoring during long-term tests of your machine. These functions offer a host of possibilities for commissioning, optimization and operation of your machine. Furthermore, service tools for firmware download and fault history upload are available.

Upon request, we also offer custom-made tools to maximize your benefit from magnetic bearings.

Though being based on Matlab, our tools run stand-alone any suitable Windows based personal computer.
Standard tools are:

• “BalLab” for on-line balancing of your rotor
• “TestLab” for auto­mated testing after assembly
• “DataLogger” for data recording and system monitoring

MECOS hardware interface between PC and AMB system: 

• CAN-Ethernet bridge
• Extended CAN-Ethernet bridge with 10 MB of memory and modem for remote-access over telephone line

Balancing with Ballab

Balancing is usually carried out before final assembly of the rotor and requires specialized equipment and lengthy procedures. Ballab allows balancing of your machine at the very end of assembly and, therefore, simplifies processes and eliminates the need for additional balancing equipment.
